YOUTH ARTS COLLEcTIVE winter show 2024

My artwork is a moment in time. At least, in my time. This is only the beginning of my time but I already have so much that I want to capture, and yet so little space right now in my world to enter the frame of mind needed to do art. Not a great state of affairs for someone who wants to make art for a living, but it’s all a work in progress. The ideas I have for artwork are fleeting but very distinct, and I do my best to make them into something you can look at (and hopefully appreciate) before they’re gone, before I’ve grown tired of them, or before they’ve morphed into something else. Art of mine doesn’t always turn out how I want it to, especially when procrastination is involved, but the times when my visions are actualized in a meaningful way- and when people can feel that, and it resonates with them -are what make all this worth it.

Inspiration for my work comes mainly from me and my life and struggles, happiness, pain, etc., but also from the beautiful people around me who support (or undermine) my endeavors and the complicated state of being a young and very flawed human being. I’m also inspired by music (the figurative blood in my veins) and nature, 'cause ain't she pretty.
